DMCA Notice & Copyright Policy
Last updated: October 2026
A fashion blog lives on photographs, and every photograph was made by someone. Daily Style Sage respects the people who make the images, outfits and words that fill the internet, and this page exists to make it simple for any creator to get something fixed quickly.
How We Use Images
Much of what you see on Daily Style Sage is our own work. Some images, quotes or excerpts come from other sources. When we use them, we believe the use falls within the fair use doctrine (17 U.S.C. § 107), is covered by a Creative Commons license, or is in the public domain. Where an image is embedded from another service, such as an Instagram post, it stays hosted by that creator and links back to them.
We never set out to infringe anyone's intellectual property or copyright. If we have made a mistake, we would much rather hear it from you directly and put it right.
If You Find Your Work Here
If you are a photographer, designer, brand or any other rights holder and you spot your work on Daily Style Sage, you have three options. Tell us which you prefer:
- Credit. Ask for proper credit and attribution, and we will add it.
- Modification. Ask us to change how the work is displayed, such as a different crop, size or caption.
- Removal. Ask us to take the work down completely.
Email [email protected] with a link to the page, a description of the work and how you would like us to handle it. You do not need to send a formal legal notice for these requests.
How Fast We Respond
Daily Style Sage aims to respond to every rights holder request within 48 hours. If you have not heard back by then, please write again, because your message may have been caught by a spam filter.
Filing a Formal DMCA Notice
Daily Style Sage complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. Copyright owners, or agents authorized to act for them, may submit a formal takedown notice to have allegedly infringing material removed from the site.
To be valid, a DMCA notice must include all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyrighted work that has allegedly been infringed.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed or, if multiple works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, with information reasonably sufficient to permit Daily Style Sage to locate the material, such as the URL.
- Information reasonably sufficient to permit Daily Style Sage to contact the complaining party, including a mailing address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that the complaining party has a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Where to Send a Takedown Notice
Send DMCA notices by email to [email protected] with "DMCA Notice" in the subject line. Notices that omit any of the elements above may not be actionable.
Daily Style Sage will review valid notices promptly and may remove or disable access to the material claimed to be infringing. We may also forward a copy of the notice to the person who posted the material.
Disputing a Removal
If you believe material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). A counter-notification must include:
- A physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located.
Send counter-notifications to [email protected]. We may pass your counter-notification to the original complainant.
Repeat Infringers
It is the policy of Daily Style Sage to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the access of users who are repeat infringers.
A Note on False Claims
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. Please make sure a claim is genuine before you file it.
