Our Policy on Children Under 13

Daily Style Sage is written for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, in line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

The Information We Collect

We collect two kinds of information, and most of what we receive falls into the second kind.

Information you choose to give us

Your name and email address when you write to us through the contact form or by email.
The topic and the text of your message, and anything else you decide to include.
Your name, email address or other details if you subscribe to a newsletter, leave a comment or buy something, should we offer those features. Payment details, if we ever take payments, are handled by the payment provider and not stored by us.

Information collected automatically

Your IP address and approximate location.
Browser type and version, operating system, device type and internet service provider.
Date and time stamps, the pages you view, how long you stay and the page that sent you to us.

How That Information Reaches Us

Personal details reach Daily Style Sage when you fill in a form, send an email, subscribe to a mailing list, post a comment or complete a purchase. Technical details arrive on their own, through server log files, cookies and similar technologies, and analytics services such as Google Analytics.

Daily Style Sage uses the information it collects to:

About Cookies

Google Analytics

Daily Style Sage may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site. Google Analytics collects information such as your IP address, device and the pages you visit, and uses cookies to do so. Google handles that data under its own policy, which you can read at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Content Embedded From Other Websites

Posts on Daily Style Sage sometimes include embedded content from other sites, such as Instagram posts, videos or images. Embedded content behaves as if you had visited the other site. It may set cookies, track how you interact with it and collect your data. We do not control those sites. Please read their privacy policies.

Links to Other Websites

Our posts link to retailers, brands and other creators. This policy does not apply to those sites. Daily Style Sage is not responsible for their content or how they handle your information, so check their policies before you share anything.

Comments and Social Media

If comments are open on a post and you leave one, we may store your name, email address, IP address and the comment itself. Comments and their related details are kept so we can moderate and follow up, and may be kept indefinitely. Anything you post publicly is visible to others and may be copied.

When you follow, like, share or message Daily Style Sage on social platforms, including Pinterest and Instagram, the platform's own privacy policy governs that activity. Content you send us there may be used to respond to you.

Affiliate Links

As Daily Style Sage grows, some links to clothing, shoes and accessories may become affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. When that applies, the retailer or affiliate network may place a cookie on your device to track the referral. Affiliate links never change what we recommend, and we will label them clearly.

When We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. Daily Style Sage shares information only in these situations:

Service providers that help us run the site, such as hosting, form handling, analytics and email delivery. They may use the information only to provide those services. Contact form messages, for example, are delivered by FormSubmit.
Legal reasons, when the law, a court order or a government request requires it, or to protect our rights, our visitors or the public.
Business transfers, if Daily Style Sage is sold, merged or transferred, in which case your information may move to the new owner.

Email and Newsletter Practices

If you subscribe to emails from Daily Style Sage, we will use your address to send the style tips, outfit roundups or offers you signed up for. We follow the CAN-SPAM Act. Our emails will identify us as the sender, include accurate subject lines, include our contact details and contain a working unsubscribe link. We honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.

Opting Out

You can stop receiving emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any message, or by emailing [email protected]. You can limit cookies in your browser, and ask us to stop using your information as described below.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. Messages are kept while we deal with your request and any follow-up, then deleted unless we must keep them by law. Comments may be kept indefinitely so we can moderate and follow up. Email subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Data held by our service providers is kept under their own policies.

Protecting Your Information

Daily Style Sage uses reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the site. Still, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights Under the GDPR

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation gives you these rights over your personal data:

The right to access the data we hold about you.
The right to correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
The right to have your data erased.
The right to restrict how we process your data.
The right to object to processing, including for direct marketing.

Your Rights Under the CCPA

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, gives you these rights:

The right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose or share, and why.
The right to request a copy of that information.
The right to delete the personal information we hold about you, with some exceptions.
The right to correct inaccurate personal information.
The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, sometimes called "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information."
The right not to be treated differently for using these rights.

Daily Style Sage does not sell personal information for money. To make a request, email [email protected] with "California Privacy Request" in the subject line. We respond within 45 days, and will tell you if we need more time. Your browser's Global Privacy Control signal is treated as an opt-out request where the law requires it.

Changes to This Policy

Daily Style Sage may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add features or when the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision. Please check back now and then, because continuing to use the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
